Profiles are groups of processes that can be saved and run again all together, rather than each process needing to be selected individually. This way, when you find a group of processes that work well on a certain set of documents, you can save that configuration for use on future documents. You can save multiple profiles: for instance, if the most common types of documents you work with in PhotoDocs are business cards, book pages in English, and book pages in French, you could create a profile for each.
Profiles can be run by the user, or a profile can be specified to run automatically; learn more about automating capture.
Profiles are available in the upper left of the main PhotoDocs window. A list of currently available profiles is shown. When one or more documents or pages are selected in the Workspace, the Run button will become available. The profile markers above the processes indicate which processes will apply to the selected documents when the current profile is run.
